  Chondroid Syringoma - Report of Seven Cases and Review of the Literature

Seven cases of chondroid syringoma of the skin collected from 1983 to 1985 are reported. The patients ranged from 26 to 58 years of age and 4 of them were male. They presented as asymptomatic solitary dermal or subcutaneous nodule. The sites of predilection were the nose (4 cases) and the chin (2 cases); one unusual case occurred on the foot.   Side Effects of Topical Corticosteroids Therapy - I: Clinical Observation

We investigated 113 patients suffering from adverse effects of topical corticosteroids therapy. The results were as follows: (1) More than 80% of side effects were produced by potent or very potent steroids. A 52-year-old female patient suffered from a painless subcutaneous tumor on her right upper arm for 8 months. The lesion enlarged gradually.   Angiosarcoma of the Scalp - A Case Report

A 79-year-old female found two blackish bean-sized solitary papules on her scalp in October 1984. Despite excision of the lesions, multiple violaceous papules and nodules recurred on and around the primary lesions and preauricular areas. A 25-year-old male patient noted pea-sized reddish and skin colored nodules developed on his face, back and extremities about 2 months ago. They were not pruritic or painful. Pathological examination revealed a well - demarcated mass in the dermis which consisted mainly of spindle - shaped histiocytes.   Dermatomyositis of Childhood - A Case Report

The prognosis for complete functional recovery in children with dermatomyositis prior to the use of aggresive high dose steroid therapy was extremely poor, approximately one third of the children died during the acute phase of the disease, one third survived with severe residual disability, and one third had complete recovery.
