  Pilomatricoma --- Clinical Analysis of 8 cases and Review of the Literature

Pilomatricoma, also known as calcifying epithelioma of Malherbe, is an unusual, but not particularly rare tumor. We excised 9 pilomatricomas from 8 patients in the past 11 months. The ages ranged from 6 months to 63 years, most patients were under 30 years old. The male to female ratio was 3:5. Their sizes were smaller than 2㎝, and the duration prior to excision varied from 2 months to 2years. They were more common on the head and upper extremities.   Pityrosporum Folliculitis --- Clinicopathological observation of thirteen cases

Thirteen patients with Pityrosporum folliculitis are described. The typical lesions are monomorphous erythematous follicular papules and pustules localized to the upper back and forechest. The lesions occurred mostly in young adult and middle-aged, with male predominant, and some associated with long-term tetracycline therapy or systemic coricosteroid treatment.   The Sex Hormone Study of Acne Vulgaris in Chinese Female

The sex hormones, including DHEA-S, androstenedione, estradiol and testosterone were studied in a group of 41 female patients who visited the special clinic of acne vulgaris of Taipei Municipal Yang-Ming Hospital. 18 patients (44%)were found to have high level of testosterone, and the mean value of experimental group was higher than the control group who had no acne vulgaris but in the same age distribution.   Warty Dyskeratoma --- Report of a Case and Review of the Literature

Warty dyskeratoma is a rare, and usualy solitary benign skin tumor. They are most commonly found on the head and neck. Warty dyskeratoma has the highest incidence in the fifth through seventh decades. The cause is unknown, and the lesion is usually asymptomatic. Men are more commomly affected than women. Mycosis fungoides is a rare cutaneous T-cell lymphoma in Chinese. It can be divided into various stages according to the different clinical expressions. This report described a case of mycosis fungoides.   Lichen Sclerosus et Atrophicus of the Neck

A 22-year-old female presented some rice-grain to pea sized, sharply demarcated, coalescing, angulatcd, whitish macules distributed linearly over anterior aspect of the neck with some pinpoint sized brownish spots on the atrophic and wrinkled surface.
