  Compare the Bacterial Index between Dapsone Monotherapy and Multidrug Therapy of Multibacillary Leprosy Outpatient

To review the efficiency of chemotherapy on multibacillary Leprosy patients treated at the O.P.D. during the thirty years peroid from 1955 to 1987. The patients were divided into three groups. The dapsone monotherapy method was used to treat the first two groups who received their therapy between 1955 and 1981. The third group was treated by using the multidrug therapy from 1982 to 1987. Schwannoma or neurilemmona originated from Schwan cell, the supporting cell or the sheath of the peripheral nerve, is a rare disease. There were only 5 cases found from the 98434 OPD patients at the Department of Dermatology National Taiwan University Hospital in the past 8 years from Jan. 1979 to Jan. 1987. Kaposi's sarcoma is a rare, chronic, multicentric and neoplastic disorder of skin, primarily affecting lower extremities of elderly males. Lymph nodes and any internal organ may be involved.Six cases collcted 1976-1986 are reported, they were classical kaposi's sarcoma in various risk groups.   Cutis Laxa -- A case report

  Cutaneous Extramedullary Hematopoiesis -- Report of A Case and Review of the Literature

We report a case of chronic myelogeneous leukemia associated with myelofibrosis. The clinical picture shows multiple subcutaneous nodules. Histopathologically, cutaneous extramedullary hematopoiesis was diagnosed by skin biopsy and the cellular components include myeloid cell, megakaryocyte and erythroid cell.Cutaneous extrmedullary hematopoiesis is extremely rare, we belicve this is the first case reported in Taiwan.   Metastatic Malignant Melanoma: A Report of Two Clinical Forms

This report describes two different clinical forms of cutaneous metastases from acral lentiginous melanoma of the foot. One patient presented with multiple erythematous papules and nodules while the other patient presented with multiple black lesions.   Subcutaneous Sparganosis -- A Case Report

A 35-year-old male noted an asymptomatic subcutaneous nodule over the left lower quadrant of the abdomen for two months. Two spargana were recovered from the excised tissue. The histopathological examination disclosed a sinus tract in the deep dermis and the subcutis surrounded by mixed inflammatory cells including numerous eosinophils and Charcot-Leyden crystals. Group IV mycobacteria are saprophytes found in the environment, which rarely cause significant infection of human. A case of primary cutaneous infection is reported and the literature is reviewed.   Chondrodermatitis Nodularis Helicis -- A Case Report

A 64-year-old male found a brownish red, dome-shaped, pea-sized nodule with a central crust on the apex of the right helix for several years. The nodule was not pruritic or painful. Pathological examination showed an area of eosinophilic necrosis with peripheral homogenization of collagen in the dermis. This case was diagnosed as chondrodermatitis nodularis helicis.
