Tissue Culture and Cutaneous Amyloidoses
Wen-Lin Lo, Chu-Kwan Wong
Dermatol Sinica 6: 139-146, 1988
The propagation of living tissue cells in vitro is a major breakthrough of biotechnology in this century. This paper reviewed th studeis of systemic amyloidosis using tissue culture as a main approach in the literature . Primary explant culture of lesional skin from patients with lichen amyloidosus was performed to detect the effect of dimethyl sulphoxide on cutaneous with amyloid. This experimental moder also exemplifid the potentiality of tissue cultru in the rsearch of cutanous amyloidoses. ..................More |

Dermatol Sinica 6: 153-158, 1988
Photochemotherapy is a recently developed approach to the treatment of psoriasis which may have initiated a new era in photomedicine, Psoralenultraviolt A (PUVA) had proved to eb effective & widely used in psoriasis managment. For safety & effectivity, Minimal phototoxic dose (MPD) and photosensitivity-pigmentation index (PPI) measures are essential for PUVA therapy. We collectd 12 cases of psoriasis with skin type III (7 males, 5 females) and tried to correlate the mean value of MPD & PPI with ..................More |
