Hamm-Ming Sheu, Hsin-Su Yu, Tsu-Chieh Shen
Dermatol Sinica 8: 1-13, 1990

Histochemical, immunofluorescent, scanning and transmission electron microscopic studies were performed on cutaneous side effects of 49 patients dut to topical corticosteroids. The dermal connective tissue changes showed that (1)loss of ground substance and fibronectin were noted; (2) the fibers of upper dermis appeared compressed and became parallel to the skin surface, and a flat dermalepideraml interface was formed; (3) the cytoplasm of fibroblasts were markedly rduced with little organelles ..................More

We report a case of pemphigus foliaceus with cryptococcemia. A 45-year-old male patient suffered from gneralized erythroderma and the results of histopathology and DIF revald intrapidermal acantholysis & positive epidermal intercellular fluorescence. Pemphigus foliaceus was diagnosed. After receiving treatment, fever and leukocytosis were noted. Accidentally, cryptococcmia was found by blood cultrue. Besides, Cryptococcus Ag Latex test titer was> =1:128. After API 20c Aux profile recognitio ..................More

Dermatol Sinica 8: 37-40, 1990

Giant cell tumor of tendon sheath is a common benign tumor of tendon sheaths and joints or synovium. We herein report a localized giant cell tumor of tendon sheath (nodular tenosynovitis) which occurred on right little finger of a 36-year-old female. Histopathology reveals proliferation of round or polygonal cells(synovial-like cells), intermingled with multinucleated giant cells, hemosiderinladen cells and foam cells. Aggressive local excision was perfrormed when recurrence was noted after t ..................More
