Chien-Yung Huang, Kuo-Chang Chou, Kai-Yam Ng

We report a case of diffuse normolipemic plane xanthoma. A 63-year-old male suffered from multiple yellowish macular patches over face, trunk and extremities for 3 years. Histopathology of skin lesion showed foam cells in the dermis. Plasma cholesterol, triglyceride and lipoprotein were normal. However, serum protein electrophoresis and immunoelectrophoresis showed IgG-monoclonal gammopathy. There was no evidence of multiple myeloma after nearly 1 year follow-up. ..................More |
