Eric J. Gagne, W. P. Daniel Su, Mark R. Pittekow
Dermatol Sinica 13: 1-12, 1995

A rapidly growing tumor on the face of an 87-year-old woman was excised for histopathologic evaluation. The tumor consisted of a poorly differentiated carcinoma with unusual neuroendocrine differentiation. Focal and prominent immunoreactivity for neuron-specific enolase, synaptophysin, and chromogranin was among the distinctive features. Ultrastructural examination demonstrated neurosecretory granules. Additional morphologic findings included clusters of clear cell differentiation. These finding ..................More

Immunohistochemically, the tumor cells mos ..................More
