We report a case of follicular mucinosis with extensive involvement to face, head and trunk. After repeated skin biopsy, 3 years later, he was found to develop malignant lymphoma. In general, follicular mucinosis may be regarded as a peculiar, nonspecific histological reaction pattern in follicular epithelium that may occur on its own or in associated with other pathological diseases, particularly lymphoma. And this case can remind us again that follicular mucinosis might exist not only a kind of secondary reaction but also an early alarming sign of malignancy.
