Chondrodermatitis Nodularis Helicis -- A Case Report
Yok-Jen Chen, Hsu-Po Yeh
Dermatol Sinica 5: 205-208, 1987

A 64-year-old male found a brownish red, dome-shaped, pea-sized nodule with a central crust on the apex of the right helix for several years. The nodule was not pruritic or painful. Pathological examination showed an area of eosinophilic necrosis with peripheral homogenization of collagen in the dermis. This case was diagnosed as chondrodermatitis nodularis helicis. The lesion was totally resected. A discussion of the histopathological findings and mechanism are included.
