Idiopathic calcinosis of scrotum (ICS) is an uncommon disorder which is easily misdiagnosed clinically as calcified epidermal inclusion cyst or pilar cyst. Histologically it is composed of calcified, amorphous basophilic massed without evidence of an epithelial lining. Although the exact pathogenesis of ICS is still unclear, there are many hypotheses about its origin from the literature. Within the recent 6 years, we collected 10 cases of scrotal calcinosis. None of them had any associated underlying disease or family history.
