Pemphigus Foliaceus with Cryptococcemia Caused by Cryptococcus Albidus

We report a case of pemphigus foliaceus with cryptococcemia. A 45-year-old male patient suffered from gneralized erythroderma and the results of histopathology and DIF revald intrapidermal acantholysis & positive epidermal intercellular fluorescence. Pemphigus foliaceus was diagnosed. After receiving treatment, fever and leukocytosis were noted. Accidentally, cryptococcmia was found by blood cultrue. Besides, Cryptococcus Ag Latex test titer was> =1:128. After API 20c Aux profile recognition program, Cryptococcus albidus var. albidus was confirmed. Oral ketoconazol 400my qd was given for two weeks and Cryptococcus Ag titer decreased to 1:32. Two weeks later, cryptococcus Ag couldn't be detcted. We hope that opportunistic infection of cryptococcosis will be considered for immunosuppressed patients, so it can be diagnosed early and treated early.
