Zosteriform Keratosis Follicularis
Haw-Jeong Lin, Hsien-Ching Chiu, Yau-Chin Lu
Dermatol Sinica 8: 235-240, 1990

A case of zosteriform keratosis follicularis is reported. A 44-year-old male patient had noted some asymptomatic, brownish, pinhead sized, waxy papules grouped over left frontal area for 2 years. Neither obvious aggravation factor nor related family history was noted. Histopathologically, the epidermis showed several invaginated parakeratotic columns beneath which acantholysis of the malpighian layer with corps ronds, grains and suprabasal clefts were found. These skin lesions spontaneously disappeared about one month after skin biopsy without any management. Differential diagnosis should include epidermal nevus and transient acan-tholytic dermatosis.
