We report a case of eczema herpeticum complicating contact dermatitis. A 35-year-old female had suffered from painful erythematous swelling with desquamation on the face and neck after applying some herbs powder for acne. Six days later, multiple grouped erosions were present on her forehead, periorbital area, perioral area, preauricular area and the neck. Lymphadenopathy on the neck was also noted. The Tzanck's preparation revealed many multinucleated giant cells. Under the impression of eczema herpeticum, she received the treatment of intravenous acyclovir. After the treatment, the lesions were significantly improved.
