Multiple MolluscumContagiosa with Epdermal Cysts Formation

We herein report an unusual case of multiple molluscum contagiosa with multiple epidermal cysts formation. A 38-year-old female patient and had multiple itching skin-colored round or oval papules measuring 0.2-0.5 cm in diameter over perianal area for more than one year. Little central umbilication and no discharge could be noticed from these lesions. There was no preceding trauma. Light microscopic examination showed histological features compatible with eidermal cysts. Striking histological features seen in the cysts were the presence of typical molluscum bodies throughout the cyst wall and inside the cysts. Electron microscopic examination revealed the typical features of MCV (molluscum contagiosum virus). According to the histopathological and electron microscopic findings, a diagnosis of multiple molluscum contagiosa with cysts formation was made.
