Rosai-Dorfman disease (RDD)(Sinus histocytosis with massive lymphadenopathy) is a systemic proliferation of cells that resemble the sinus histiocytes of lymph nodes. Cutaneous lesions are usually associated with nodal or other extranodal location. We herein describe a female with RDD clinically limited to the skin. The patient presented with asymptomatic dermal nodules on the abdominal wall. Histologically, the lesion consisted of a proliferation of large histiocytes cytoplasmic positivity in the histiocytes. No other foci could be detected by thorough physical examination. Primary cutaneous Rosai-Dorfman disease is rarely reported in the literature.
