Myxoid lipoma is occasionally seen in lipomatous neoplasms, but it is extremely rare in association with lipomembranous (membranocystic) change. We report a 67-year-old male who had a progressively enlarged nontender mass over the lateral aspect of the left elbow for more than 10 years. The mass was totally resected and showed a histopathologic picture of myxoid lipoma with many foci of lipomembranous change. The pathogenesis is discussed. |
