Dermatol Sinica 18: 267-272, 2000

Between 1977 and 1998, there were thirteen consecutive patients (nine men and four women) diagnosed with cutaneous angiosarcoma (AS) of the face and scalp at the National Taiwan University Hospital (NTUH), Taipei, Taiwan. Most of the characteristics of these patients are similar to those described in the literature, except the following aspects: 1. Younger age of onset: one fourth of our patients are below 45 years old; 2. Lesions on the lower face are not as rare as the description in the previous reports; 3. Purpuric blisters can be the only presentation; 4. Although the duration is shorter and the tumor size is smaller in our cases, the survival time is not longer.
