Anetoderma, or macular atrophy, is characterized by atrophic patches located on the upper trunk. According to Lever' s histopathology of the skin, histologic findings comprise moderately pronounced perivascular infiltrate of mononuclear cells, loss of elastic tissue in papillary or reticular dermis, and in a few instances, a picture of leukocytoclastic vasculitis, including a perivascular infiltrate in which neutrophils and eosinophils predominate and nuclear dust, sometimes. We herein present a case whose clincal and pathologic diagnosis are anetoderma, and granulomatous inflammation was noted in addition to the usual histologic findings of anetoderma.
