A Subcutaneous Nodule in the Nape
Chih-Jung Hsu, Cheng-Shiang Shiao, Chung-Ren Tsung
Dermatol Sinica 19: 267-268, 2001

A 65-year-old male accidentally found a subcutaneous nodule on the posterior aspect of the neck since one year ago. The nodule was asymptomatic and enlarged very slowly. Physical examination showed a pigeon-egg sized subcutaneous nodule with normal overlying skin. The nodule was elastic in consistency and partially movable. He received excisional biopsy, and a light yellowish, ovoid mass was enucleated. H&E stain and immunohistochemical study with CD34 and S100 were also performed. What is your diagnosis?
